Jo turned to sign in. she had just returned from Montana, and was ready to confront the rest of her comrades now. She had been ent off to track a suspect, but the suspect was decided innocent and she left. She hadn't fired a gun that entire two-year period, and was almost eager to have practice again. she flashed her picture ID and entered the range, taking her own old-fashioned rifle. It was supposed to be used for hunting, so if she ever needed to be a hunter, she'd be ready. She unlocked the safety and held it steady. She rested her head on the butt of the rifle, closed one eye.....three...two....one.....pow! the rifle hit its mark cleanly. She hadn't lost her touch. She sighed. where was her good ol' pistol? or even a nerf six-shot. she had loved playing FBI when she was eight. The neighbor was always the evil cospirator, and she was the president of the FBI, shouting out orders and getting the k-9 squad in, which happened to be her yippy jack russell terrier and her friend's lethargic basset hound. Where was kiefer anyway? She had expected to see him in the hall or in one of the offices. maybe eveon outside having a cigarette or whatever. Oh well. Another perfect shot to the target.

Bauer leaned against the wall of the shooting range, easing his tension with a relaxed atmosphere, although he yearned for the sound of a shot. Thoughts answered as a shot caressed his ears, making his torso tense in suspense, laying his head back against the brick wall he pushed off, forearm resting softly on the butt of his Glock. Pulling open the Shooting Range door he approached the front office, scribbled in his name and showed his I.D.
His gaze looked over the field sharply, falling upon a woman, shrugging slightly he requested an M-16 for practice, although he enjoyed the kick of his Glock he decided to change his variety of weapons. Approaching the range along side the woman he glanced at her briefly, she looked familiar, perhaps he'd seen her at CTU or somewhere on the road, either way he was here to relief stress... as he always found himself doing. [ Nice shot.] He muttered as he lowered to a prone position, pressing the butt of the M-16 into his shoulder, leaning forward slightly ready for the kick. The power thrust into his shoulder, a snap as the hammer ignited the black powder and a bullet spat forth, striking the target. Eyes narrowed as he attempted to see where he had hit, managed a head shot.
Finger caressed the trigger, pressing the gun into his shoulder once more, taking a deep breath and released, held it and let loose, pelting the target with a series of bullets. Grinning to himself, before covering it with a cough whilst someone was in the presence, gaze shifted slightly to observe the woman and down to her target, she wasn't bad, from the looks of it... then again it was only a few shots.

Dawn didn't look at him. "Thanks" She loaded her gun up again. She paused briefly to look at her rifle. " Guess you don't see many these rifles." Indeed, this rifle you'd expect to see in Little House on the Prarie. She aimed, cocked, and fired. She remembered when she and her friend had tried to make a smiley-face by shooting out of boredom. But then....her friend.... She shook her head and loaded another bullet. " Haven't seen you in a while. Then again, I didn't see anyone I knew in Montana." She remarked.

Lowering his weapon and standing up slowly, looking over the woman he grinned faintly, [ Yeah, antic. Looks like it still shoots like a dream.] He replied, disarming the M-16 of it's "Banana Magazine" pocketing it and hooked the strap that held the M-16 onto his shoulder. Looking down at the woman's target before returning his firm gaze back to her upon her speaking up again, [ Yeah, well, been busy. Nothing new, managed to get some time in with my daughter...] He added carefully, not bringing up the topic on his wife, hence her being deceased. Shaking his head softly to rid the thought, looking over the range slowly.
[ What were you stationed here for? Field or Desk? I assume Field considering you are out here shooting.] He said, struggling to keep a live conversation, a habit that surfaced often.

" You assume right. Didn't think you'd remember me, though." She looked at him briefly. " I was right. Barely remember You, though. If it weren't for the fact you are my boss, I would have called security on account of there being some random guy was shooting off an M-16" she looked up when he mentioned his daughter. " I've seen her around. very skilled. She impresses me still." She hesitaited as her thoughts came back, about Nina and teri. After that, she had been imediately interrogated, then shipped off to montana. Nina had been her friend, and apparently some people held that against her. But she was just as disgusted as them when she fould out the truth about Nine. She Cocked her rifle and fire, all her fury and grief contained in the one shot.

Bauer looked up as she spoke, faint smile presented at her comment, [ I remember anyone whom proved themselves with skill. Your boss, hm? How'd you manage to get assigned beneath me?] Managing a rare chuckle he shook his head, [ Hey, I got a permit for this M-16, thank you.] He replied, patting the butt of the M-16. Listening as she responded upon the topic of his daughter, giving him a sense of pride that she had been noticed not only by him, [ Yeah, she's doing good...] he replied softly. Gaze looking away and even with the shot piercing his ears he didn't jump, merely looked and kept a content silence, thinking quietly to himself. Taking a knee he dug into his shoulder pack, retrieving a lubricant oil for his fire-arm, removing a rag as he slowly wiped the M-16 down, cleaning the barrel and such. Observing Dawn with his peripheral vision, quiet interested in seeing what this new Agent could present, would she be worth sending off? Or would she just be dead weight and then again by the looks of her aim, she would be of some value.

OOC: He SMILED! and LAUGHED. declare a national holiday!!!
Jo shrugged. " Good question. Some guy just watched me shoot, watched me do Kung Fu..forget what else. He said ' your boss is Jack bauer.' and walked away." She shot at the target again, out of sheer boredom. She cast a sideways glance at Jack. " Bomb squad training, I heard? I know a guy there. says Kim's one of the best." She aimed and shot. Jo looked at her gun, then put it down and picked up a pistol. " Not a big fan of these guns. Don't know why, maybe because...." She didn't finish the sentence. Her life had been very turbulent. her father was murdered in front of her when she was eleven. Her mother had to change her name and move to colrado. From then on, Jo had always expected to move to a different state and get a new name a couple times a year. She had never gotten used to it.

ooc: rofl
Bic:
Nodding briefly as she spoke, [ Interesting...] he muttered, it had been awhile since he wasn't briefed on a new Agent, and frankly he preferred to be briefed. Although Jo had quite a record behind her. [ That's good to hear.] He responded to the comment of Kim. Considering what she was speaking before replying, nodding along with, [ Yeah, I prefer my glock. Although the M-16 is a nice weapon to shoot, no complaints really.] Tone simple as he kept a casual conversation, avoiding the topic of his family rather than staying atop it by continuing the chat of Kim and how well adapted his wife was to strangers. Keeping the silence for a moment longer before he found a question, [ So brought you this way? From what it sounds you were offered this job, after you moved here.]

She held the psitol a bit longer, thinking of the horrid day she watched death. Jo put it down and picked up the hunting rifle. She took another shot. " I've been here a while. A few years....three, I guess. I've been sent out to montana for the last two years undercover....very boring. Brownie Girl scouts are little cretins." she paused for a moment. " I was a Girl scout. I wasn't a little cretin, though." she added defensively. "And cookies aren't the only thing we do." She muttered. She could remember going up to rake leaves for an elderly neighbor when a boy threw a rock at her best friend for not giving him cookies. She scared him away by asking him what he wanted in his obituary. " Many things happen in Girl Scouts..."
