Sarah had needed a drink forever.. was killing for one but couldn't have one. breathing softly through her mouth. her hand wondered down to her tummy to hold it. she hated taking help from him. fuck. She was getting scared. weather you was a 'normal' person or a cop train under stress and not to show pain but all agents couldn't help but be scared.. okay almost all agents right? Sarah was new at this..
"oksy.." she said almost in a meekly voice. almost ashamed that she showed that.. that she was scared.. shit. jack was probably going to held this against her with something like 'showing fear' or whatever shit. Sarah didn't care about herself. no she was worried about the tiny little wonder Plus she needed support and didn't think she would find any from jack even if he was the father.

Bauer growled lightly as she seemed reluctant, he forced her arm around behind his nape, holding tight to her wrist. The other followed along her back and lightly held her hip. Slowly making it toward the door where they were met with Tony, who assisted with moving Baker. [ Hold her arm dammit. ] Bauer mumbled as Tony struggled to find a place to place his hands appropriately. Aware she had a right to be scared Bauer kept silent, he was not going to patronize her nor attempt to joke, this was a serious matter.
Bauer looked lightly toward Baker as she finally spoke up, seemed to be ashamed of accepting help, he ignored it. Exiting CTU his black SUV was just to the left, Tony moved ahead and opened the door, they assisted with putting Baker in the SUV. [ You break your water in this car and I swear to God you're paying for it. ] Bauer barked in false anger, he was attempting to ease her tension. Briefly he gave Tony a nod with a typical, 'Going to be alright?' question. With that Bauer pushed off and jumped into the drivers seat, his Glock jabbed his waist and reminded him it was still there. His hands shook with the chaos of it all, lacking his fix and Sarah's early labor. [ Just hang on. ] He mumbled.

Sarah leaned up against jack a tiny bit. Which helped. something didn't feel right it was kinda creepy. swallowing she looked at tony who couldn't seem to find a good place to grab her. she would have thought that was funny if she wasn't in this much pain. Feeling the cold air hit her face felt good looking at the car she un gripped Tony's shirt which she held onto and took a seat listening the what jack said she mumbled "But!! thats the fun of it!" she growled back just to be a pain in the ass before shutting up.
Sarah gripped the side of the car's door where the car handle was. swallowing she watched jack for a moment before bitting her lip.Sarah felt that there was something wrong.. it didn't feel right. of course she never had a baby but it still didn't feel right. her hands squeezed when pain gripped her tummy

Bauer released Sarah from his grasp, scrambling into his SUV and roughly starting the engine. The SUV bucked forward and tires squealed against asphalt, Bauer gripped the wheel tightly and jerked the wheel to the left, steering out of the CTU lot and onto the main road. Everything was a blur, sound, noise, and touch. His gaze shifted to Sarah, his breath quivered softly and he shook his head as a prespiration rose on his brow, roughly running a forearm against it. He growled beneath his breath and the SUV lurched forward into a higher gear, roaring past 'Sunday Drivers' and was steered roughly onto the exit to the hospital.
Bauer jerked his gaze to Sarah, [ Hang on just a few minutes. ] He assured her. He'd gone through this once before with Terri, almost was lucky enough to happen again only Terri left him unexpectedly. He remembered that like it was yesterday, the smell of her mingling with the fresh smell of blood and flesh-- it sickened him. How gratefully he claimed the life of her assassin and how it felt so damn good. Quickly Bauer's attentions altered, [ Dammit ] he cursed as the traffic backed up. He flicked the lights and the SUV released a sharp 'Whoop' warning those to move, and they did to their reluctance. Bauer stopped the SUV directly outside the doors, he was confronted by an officer and he merely shoved him aside, literally, [ Tow it. ] he snarled and pulled a wheel-chair close to the SUV, [ Get in. ] He barked softly to Sarah.

Sarah hung onto the car door as if it was the only lifeline. Scared that they were gonna crash. It was funny how she HATED jack.. but she kept looking at him for answers.. she was panicking and she couldn't help it "Why does it feel wrong jack! like something wrong with the baby! " she said hoping she wouldn't get a wise ass remark and maybe a answer. she new he wasn't a Dr but for some reason she wanted to know that everything was going to be OK or something. she wanted ensnarement from him for some damn reason.
She leaned her head up against the head rest of the chair and tried to muffle a sound of pain as she held her tummy. hearing what he said she just answered with a "Feels like its gonna.. like.. come out early.. way to early!" she said not caring if she spoke or if it made sense. she looked at him with panic in her eyes even more. being stuck in one place for a minute she sent him another panic look to him.
Sarah was already out and closing the Car door. looking at the wheel chair for A moment she just nodded at his order and took a seat. breathing softly she started her breathing. her nails bitted into the wheelchairs arm rest. "dam nit" she mumbled under her breath when another pain grabbed her body.

Bauer’s breath was short and his gaze wide and wild as it darted from mirror, to road, to Sarah. He heard her shout at him demanding answers that he didn’t know. [ I don’t know! ] he shouted back, but his nerves were getting to him. [ I’m sorry… ] he confessed for his tone, she didn’t need this right now, he didn’t need this. He knew not if things would be OK, he knew when Terri was due, she was an easy labor, Sarah on the other hand—she was an unknown firearm, he knew not how she worked and what buttons to stroke to get on the good side and not get viper bites on his hands.
Bauer jerked his gaze to her, it ran over her quickly at her words, they made little sense, but enough for him to know. He cursed under his breath and picked up the pace, he had to get to a hospital, he didn’t know what to do. Several months in medical and he didn’t know, how pathetic. Finding panic in her eyes he grabbed her hand out of sheer boldness, [ Just relax. ] He cooed softly, trying to sound convincing as he persisted to drive.
Bauer could see her nails digging deeply into the flesh of the wheel chair armrest, glad it wasn’t his arm. He pushed her through the doors and nearly slid on the floor as he darted toward the labor wing. A doctor shoved him aside and he backed away. Bauer ran his hands roughly through his hair, [ Shit shit shit. ] He cursed under his breath, dropping his hands roughly to his sides, he was forced to wait… his child or not, he couldn’t go in and that didn’t mean it was good…

hearing his shout she didn't reply back. if she kept chewing on her lower lip thought she was sure it would fall off. Her heart was beatng fast and she new this was going to be hell. feeling the baby kick very low in her tummy her panic filled eyes looked around. "Its fine!' was all she said. Understanding.Sarah was more shocked that he grabbed her hand. Hearing what he said she just looked around again. squeezing his hand in a kind 'okay' before she tried to relax.
Sarah was rushed into a room where they started to shoot her up with piles and also do many other stuff before they started to try to get the baby. Mean while outside where jack was a nurse walked over to him and asked him to fill out papers. Just normal info. name.where she lived. age. how many months were she.. bunch of other things.
~Soon after~
Sarah glanced around the hospital room she had been given. She wasn't in the mood to talk nor eat or anything. she just wanted to go home and lick her wounds. Sarah swore on her life she wasn't going to have a child. not becuz of the pain nor any other reason. She would never place another unborn child in the ground. The baby girl she had as dead. still born. Sarah thought she did everything right.. but then again.. it was a couple of months early and how long did it take to have the baby? less then four hours from getting here. to laying around to having it to then making sure she wouldn't also die and then now she was here. Her body was covered with a hospital sheet and then a hospital blanket over her body and she was sitting up on the bed. she didn't want to be here. she wanted to be alone at her house trying to get over the fact that the baby that she wanted. no matter who the father was. No matter how she ended up with child. she wanted that child and now she couldn't have it. Sarah wouldn't let herself cry. but she badly needed too.
occ: yea.. i have no clue if a hospital would do that or not. hospital or birth threads i'm kinda unaware of so if i get anything wrong then sorry. and i have no muse sorry for suckie post.

Bauer had a feeling in the pit of his stomach that something was right about this, not that he’d slept with a co-worker, but something about the baby. Bauer shook his head sharply and brushed his forearm against his forehead again, he sighed in an exasperated manner. He felt her hand squeeze his own with a mutual response, he hated to have put her through this—he should not have been so foolish, he wished he could make it up to her somehow.
Bauer pivoted on his heel as he was requested to fill the papers out, he did it hastily and thrust them back at the nurse, [ When can I see her? ] He questioned with a slight edge in his tone. The nurse had simply shrugged and Bauer growled, he grabbed her arm and forced her to face him, his face inches from hers—her own eyes got wide and she looked upon a security guard who flanked Bauer. Bauer turned and a low level growl escaped from his lips, the security guard did not falter, annoyed Bauer shook his head and turned away. Collapsing into a waiting room chair.
Bauer had nearly fallen asleep despite his anxiety, he was so tired. Hearing the doctor call his name he stood up. Striding up to him quickly, his head tilted and cold cerulean eyes stared blankly upon the doctor as he confessed the child was dead—far to young. Bauer’s gaze fell and his shoulders sagged, the doctor claimed he could see her, but he didn’t know if he should. Bauer was not good at comforting the hurt, especially since Terri, no one had been there to comfort him, why should he? It was his fault, that’s why.
Bauer hesitantly walked down the hallway to her room, he rapped his knuckle against the door and slowly pushed it. He found Sarah in his sites, she was crying, and he felt regret and remorse. [ S—Sarah… ] His whisper raspy and deep, he didn’t know where to start, he didn’t know what to say. He’d put her in this situation and he cost her her child, he thought she would be grateful, but she seemed torn apart. [ Things happen… ] He tried to convince her, [ For a reason… ] He added hesitantly.

Sarah tried to pull herself togther when Bauer walked in. taking a deep breath she just looked at him. Swallowing hard she moved a tiny bit in bed. not wanting to cry infront of jack. more reason not to cry infront of him cuz he was her boss. Wipping quicky at her cheeks she looked at him. listening to what he said she moved a tiny bit more on the bed. Bitting her lip she tried to think of a reason. "I guess.." she said softly and looked at jack.
Sarah didn't try to look for a point anymore. she didn't want too. she just wanted to go home. bitting her lip she relaxed a tiny bit on the bed. Why did she want to jump down his throat? moving a leg she just looked at his face.. calming herself down to stop crying and not to do anything stupid.

Bauer respected Sarah for masking her tears, but he would her rather loose it and collect later. [ Don’t be ashamed. ] He mumbled softly as she removed the lingering tears on her cheek. Bauer kept his distance, he felt if he moved closer she would violently strike out at him first—grab anything in reach and he’d rather not fathom that. He shrugged lightly and his jaw clenched shut, his gaze wandered for he was at a loss of words, he knew not what to say nor explain to her.
Bauer grabbed her clothes and set them atop her abdomen, [ I’ll take you home. ] He murmured softly. He didn’t like her silence; it meant she was thinking and normally her thinking equaled pain. Bauer moved away, his hands slipped into his slacks, forearm brushing his badge and holstered Glock, shoulders rose and fell with a heavy sigh. His gaze transfixed ahead of him, [ You can have maternity leave… ] He added.

Sarah heard what he said and replied just with a "ok" not sure what else to say. swallowing again she watched him. Her flames followed every single move he made. Almost studing how he moved and walked. "Thanks" was all she said when he give her, her clothes and she slowly got up. Watching him move away she watched everymove. seeing what he said she answered "No.. I dont want maternity leave. Rather just work. Dont worrry i wont let what happened in the way of work" she said softly.
Sarah was better working then sitting around just thinking of what she done wrong for this to happen. She just wanted to work and forget about it as fast as she could. work and keep her mind off of it. thats all she wanted. "You dont have to bring me home.. i'll call a cab" she said. first she didn't want to bring him out of his way. 2rd she just wanted to be left alone 3rd she didn't want to be near the child's father. "And thanks for bringing me here"

Bauer dipped his head slightly in a silent agreement. He could feel her gaze on him, following every slight twinge of a movement he made, he understood, but it made him feel weird. Turning lightly as she said her thanks, he nodded again and persisted to hold his back to her incase she chose to change. Bauer listened to her decline, [ Ok—that’s fine. ] He replied lightly. It wasn’t the mere fact she lost a child, he knew it was traumatic, he knew how it felt, somewhat, he lost Kim—he lost Terri—what else was there to loose.
Bauer finally chose to turn as he did not hear the ruffle of clothes, he listened to her reject him again. He shook his head, [ I don’t care. I’ll give you a ride. I’m not going to touch you, Baker. Our ‘relationship’ is purely platonic and business. ] His tone was firm, unwavering to insure she understood that he had absolutely no intentions of touching her as he did before, ‘slong as he could. He shrugged at her thanks and merely turned away, he was not much for accepting ‘Thank yous’ and shit like that. Bauer signed the release paper presented and he turned to Sarah, [ Choose what you’re going to do. If you’re not riding with me, I’m going home. If you are—I’ll take you home and then go home. ]

Eyeing his back when he turned she got off the bed and she stripped out of her hospital grown and slowly bend over and slid her pants up over her legs and onto her hips. taking it slow as she did so she buttoned the pants before slipping her bra on and also shirt. Moving her hair from under her shirt she glanced at his back "Okay..i'm done" she said softly and took a seat on the bed and bent over slowly and started to place her left shoe on.
"That is not what i mean jack- i mean Bauer I ment that whatever HAS happened in the past.. is just the past and forgottin. And i also ment that losing the child wouldn't enterfree in to my work" She said watching him sign the papers she tied her left shoe and also right shoe before standing up again and walking towards the closet they had and took her jacket. "You can take me home. " was all she said. inside she was mourin for her lost child. Feeling sore she grabbed the painkillers with a mumble hating being drugged up much less taking even more painkillers sense the one's she already had..

Bauer’s jaw softly rotated as he listened naturally in an attentive manner, finally hearing the rustle of clothes stop and hearing her word. He turned. Slowly Bauer turned his gaze over his shoulder first, a hard swallow and he nodded as a silent response, watching as she put her shoes on. Bauer’s jaw clenched softly, several times at that, thinking far too much into things. Bauer’s gaze on Baker was neutral, respectful and his vocal cords were still.
Bauer listened to her speak up, he remained motionless, just listened. [ Jack is fine. ] He assured her at first. He appreciated the fact she understood the situation, which she was willing to put it behind her, though he knew she never would. [ I know it won’t. ] It was not a cocky answer, he knew Baker was stronger than that. Softly Bauer sighed and pulled his own jacket onto broad shoulders, rotating his sore shoulder tenderly and turned away. [ Ok. ] he merely replied as he started to walk out into the hallway. Glancing back as a bottle of pills rattled, he continued on.
The SUV was still outside, in the front, blocking the door still. He opened the passenger door, but didn’t wait, he approached the drivers seat and climbed in. Not once did he speak during the notions. He feared he’d say something cross or offensive.

"Okay then" was all Sarah replied to both of what he said before following. watching him place his jacket on before looking at the wall. Following him out with a couple of steps behind she mumbled a thanks softly when he opened the door before sliding into the chair. looking to her left to see that jack was already in his seat. shutting the car door she placed her seatbelt on and looked out the window to look at the hospital.
Hoping once she got home she could mourn for the one she lost with out anybody around before going to work the next day She hoped nobody would know about her loosing the baby.. hopefully nobody would and if they did they wouldn't say a word about it. Glancing at jack for a moment before looking out the front window she closed her eyes and lay ed her head back up against the seat head rest. glad to be out of the hospital.
Her hand moved to her tummy before she noticed it was there and removed it. She wanted her child in her arms. now but she couldn't have what she wanted. bitting her lip harder she reopened her eyes and looked around a tiny bit but sure what to say to jack. just listening to the wind outside of the car
