Kim entered the place, though it was slightly hidden, a bit difficult for her to find. She had had a bit of training, being on the bomb squad for bit of time. At one point she had started the S.W.A.T training though had dropped out, seeing as more important events had been occuring in her life. So she had come once more, this time to complete it. She found it not to her liking and persued the job of a field agent. Growing up with her father such a crucial person to this career why wouldn't she wish to persue it too? She could be a model, actress, or even a dog walker, like all the other normal women though she needed a bit of danger in her life.
She moved to the front desk, aquiring a form from the secratary and sitting down to fill it out. With her previous training and father's history she had gathered enough information in which to make thejob seem easier though she needed the proper education which she could recieve here. She handed the form in, waiting for a field agent to arrive or someone in which to start the progress of training.

Bauer heaved a sigh as he reloaded his Glock, replacing it with a new clip and readying it for fire. He resumed his stance and a supervisor replaced the tan "earmuffs" over their ears. His jaw tightened, his finger caressed the trigger as he took aim, leaning forward somewhat ready for the kick the Glock would give him. Drawing in a breath, holding it, and slowly releasing it, holding it once more and his finger no longer caressed the trigger, instead he pulled back on the trigger, sending a bullet into the target. But one wasn't enough to sooth his nerves, he let out the whole twelve rounds.
Lowering his pistol, holstering it and turning towards the supervisor. Extending a hand for a brief shake when he paused, gaze narrowed as a familiar face entered, his daughter at that. Shaking the Male's hand he turned away, not bothering to look at where he hit the target, it wasn't a matter of practice, it was a matter of relieving his nerves. Ceasing his movements at the front desk, he signed out, turning to Kim, [ See you're putting your training to work.] He murmured carefully.

Her own nerves eased as she caught the sound of a weapon fire. Most would find this line of duty dangerous, frightening, even repulsive, though after serving sometime with the bomb squad, handling a few guns seemed like nothing. She leaned forward, catching a glimpse of the familiar and famous blond head she knew. She snorted lightly to herself. Should have known. She muttered her own words to herself. Gaze turned away as her father had appeared, shaking the hand of the supervisor. She watched as he approached her. And what is it I've done to be in the presence of the famouse Jack Bauer? 'Course, though I'm here to complete it this time. I don't have a lot of time to waste. She waited, gaze turned away from him.
She hadn't cared if he had approved of her going into the career, nor did she care because it had been what she wanted to do. Her mother probably would have forbade it though she wasn't here to make the calls. You going to be training me, or are you just here to stare? She hadn't meant to sound hostile towards him but she wasn't here for a nice visit at the office, nor could she deny that what was left of their family wasn't perfect. What have you been up to? She had a lot to say though she didn't expect a lot for explanation.

Bauer held a faint smirk, instead he shook his head softly, she hadn't changed much since the last time he'd seen her, not much at all. Her comment left him at a loss for words, due to the fact it was more of sarcasm than much of anything else, patronizing him almost. [ I see. Well, excuse me if talking with your father seems to waste your time.] He retorted, attempting to keep his nerves cooled that tended to flare with confrontation among family.
Watching quietly as she turned away from him, Kim had every right to be the way she was with him, he'd screwed up in his job, placing family below his job, a choice he regretted since the day. Jaw rotated softly, folding his arms softly she may have been breaking eye-contact, but he would not, [ I'm sure there's someone here that's better than me.] He returned, perhaps it was the mere fact that a faint sense of hostility hung in the air, [ Besides, should I have a reason to just see my daughter?] He added sharply.
Hositlity vaguely left his own nerves with her next question, [ Nothing.] He replied simply, he wasn't going to waste his breath on explaining what his past few months had been like, they were either equivalent to hers or perhaps hers may have been worse. [ What about you? I'm sure your new career has had you quite busy, no?]

She shook her head, rubbing her forehead as she listened to him. She gave a dry laugh, gazing up at him. Father? Is that what you've started calling yourself these days? Your job isn't dangerous enough so you've got to come and stir things up between us? Eyes rolled slightly as gaze was turned upon the rooms once more. She watched as the supervisor exited the room momentarily though she didn't blame him for not wanting to be around the two. I'm surprised you've stopped your little gun spree in there to honor your daughter with a chat.
Head turned towards him, noticing his own gaze was still fixed upon her. When is it you've ever stopped your life for me? I s'pose there's alway a first for everything. She too folded her arms across her chest, in slight disbelief that he was bringing such things up when he was the reason their family was torn, if it could even be called a true family. It wasn't often, perhaps ever she was proud to be related to him.
And yet another lie I've been submitted to by Jack Bauer. She knew as well as he did he wasn't one to sit and lounge. Career? I'm seeking one here though I'm finding it with some difficulty. I was with the bomb squad for a bit but I'm sure if I'd blown up it would have been the least of your worries. I find it difficult to pursue anything without any immense source of support.
Her words were cold though she knew that truth was hidden behind them. She could tell of his struggle to keep his nerves clam and perhaps it had been the only thing they shared in common. Look, I've come here to get my complete training and get out on a job. If you're going to help me then do it. Deep down she loved him but her life was caked with lies and missing the support of her father that it was hard not to show an ornery, hating side.
She took a deep breath, hand running through her hair with slight aggravation, which had been common with their meetings. I don't like this. She muttered, doubting anything would ever change.

Bauer looked away faintly upon her comment, habit and respect kept sharp words from protruding, as much as he despised being that of his blood he'd always been rather proud of her being his daughter and yet she seemed to wish she hadn't been. He understood as to why she was so irritable to him, holding so much hatred towards him, he reluctantly understood. Returning his gaze, soft, back towards her, [ Kim, I'd never stir things up between you and I. It's bad enough that you don't even call.] He replied, as much as disrespectful she was towards him, he'd always treat her with his own respect. And yet her sarcasm was driving him mentally insane, she'd always been a smart-ass when it came to things such as this, [ I always have time for my own flesh and blood. Paused softly, [ What do you expect me to do, Kim? Do you want me to just disappear and leave you be? You're all that I've got.] He finished.
Heaving a soft sigh, shoulders rose with the tension, gaze falling back towards the floor and the toe of his black oiled boots, there was no use in replying to her comment, it wasn't worth fighting. Wanting things to work out between them seemed nearly impossible, Kim had and has been all that he's had left from Terri, and she seemed to hold such a large grudge for him. And yet her words cut deeper than most, when thoughts formed of when had he been there for them? CTU had ran him into the ground with the containment of several life threatening problems, and yet he was never there to assist Kim nor Terri in their own crises.
Frustration was thick within him, he'd taken so much damn back-talk from her it made him sick, but forcing himself to believe it was just a form of her venting, and he'd take it... at least as long as he could. He couldn't recall the last time he took a sit, let alone crashed on a "real bed" half the time he'd be close to passing out on a cold desk at CTU. [ Yeah... I heard you were in the bomb squad, interesting stuff.] An irritated sigh released at yet another smart-ass response, she knew damn well that he cared about her and yet she shunned him away, ignored him and expected him to ignore her. [ I'm here for you, Kim, you've just got to accept me to support you. Without your respect and mine, it's not going to work.] He replied, although the comment held no real notion, it wouldn't matter a comeback would just shoot it down, coldly.
Bauer realized irritation was thick, looking towards the the range where a supervisor resided on the other side, [ I'm sorry for the way that I am... I never meant to be so cold to you and your mother... Whether or not you think it's true, I will always love you, no matter how you treat me.] What he'd just spoke of almost sounded stupid, coming from him, but he felt the need to speak forth about it, [ I'm not going to stand in your way of your training, snag one of the supervisors and have them assist you. I see I've burdened you enough with the mere fact of saying hello.] The words coming out rather flat.

As she tensed, hand curled around the end of the chair's arm, nails digging in slightly. She stood, meeting his gaze. She stared at him, letting a few moments of silence pass. All you got? In the past you sure as hell have made it clear you have you job. She felt no shame or reluctance in the bringing up of her language. He hadn't been in charge for her so what did he care? Ah...so now it's my fault? It alway seems to come to that.
Jaw clenched together tightly, trying to remain somewhat relaxed. At the moment she felt she could really use a firearm in the shooting range, release some stress perhaps as he had been doing before their pleasant meeting. She had attempted to be slightly civil towards her father but he made it hard after the difficulties in their relationship as a family.
Oh, but it wasn't nearly as interesting as our own little problems. She had not bothered to halt the abrasiveness in her voice. Do you really think I don't give a damn? That's not how it is. I've given you more than enough chances. Mom did too and now there is now way to fix things between her. Kim felt a slight shock of pain as she spoke of her mother. She really hadn't spoken to anyone about it. She just lived knowing he had ruined things between all of them. She had wondered why she was bothering to go into this field when this was the reason their household was in pieces.
As he suggested another supervisor training her and him taking off again, she shook her head. Kim flashed a false grin with disbelief though she knew it would come to this, trying to shunt her off onto someone else as if she wasn't his problem to deal with. I want you to do it. Jaw was tightened as she spoke and though she couldn't bare giving in, they couldn't live dreading these moments forever.

His gaze fell to her hands, looking away just as slowly, one thing he could never do was keep any eye-contact, just something he could never do. Returning it slowly he was a loss for words, as she firmly drilled that into his mind there was no way to justify what he'd said, recalling that his job had always been first... rather than family. [ And do you not think I regret that I have this job rather than spending time with you?] He replied coolly.
Bauer's head rose slightly when she retorted to his comment when he was purely being honest, managing a soft sigh, [ And what problems would that be? Not being there for you perhaps?] He retorted, regretting the words already, being able to manage his tone with her for quite sometime and yet this time they were held. What she spoke of was true, Terri gave him countless times, and he'd never given notice to Kim's attempt to give him chances, and yet he found himself blaming his job rather than himself, a damn weakness he had. [ I know.] He returned.
His torso had somewhat shifted for his departure, the last thing he needed was the stress resurfacing when he'd just come here to ease it. Turning only his head to look upon Kim, [ Fine. Get up.] Pushing open the shooting range door and almost immediately shots filled his ears that echoed against the concrete walls. Glancing over a few other members from the CTU Field Agency, turning back to Kim, [ You want me to help you or not?] Impatience obvious, reluctance to do this was so raw and painful.

And yet you still don't want to get it through your head. She stared at the floor for a moment, unaware of what she was doing as she got lost in her thoughts. She shook her head lightly, coming back as head snapped up to glance at him.
Kim had a hard time believing he was interested in what was occurring in her live previously. She nodded stiffly as his comment came feeling truth behind it. It wasn't just about missing a few school meetings or never going to the movies with him, or whatnot. It was the fact he had missing out on so much of her life just as she had on his. Her mother made her chances apparent, noticeable. Perhaps Kim hadn't, but there were those times when they were there. It hadn't been entirely his fault; he had to be a provider for the family somehow though there was no doubt that her could have tried harder to be a father.
She hadn't known why she had bothered. He seemed rather reluctant to do what she had asked of him. She sighed heavily, angry with both him and herself for bothering with asking. Wasn't he the one who had just said he was here for her, that he had cared for her and that he wanted to be with her every now and then? She staggered before following towards the shooting range. Should have known it would be too much to ask of you. She muttered intending it towards herself though she hadn't cared if he heard, and perhaps she wished he had. Why had he bothered to lecture her when he had proved how he felt in the last few seconds? She could have walked away, found someone more willing after seeing his attitude towards her but she had wished to get through the training and their impatience was yet another thing they shared.

Forcing himself to ignore the words of the insulting gesture he merely watched her, holding back any annoyance that tried to surface. Recalling his previous actions made it apparent as to why she was she was and always had been cold towards him, he offers and then when requested to do something he treated it like it would kill him. A trait he always hated that he had, he'd been so wound up in job that family seemed to be a third-wheel, not that he'd ever admit it, for he would regret it.
[ I...] he started, but cut his sentence off, biting his tongue, there was no use, he'd already soiled his word and he knew Kim, of all people, would not let him forget. Growling to himself softly he countered his thoughts with a request for a shooting booth, given one to the far left he continued, [ Come on, last booth.] He said soflty, glancing briefly over his shoulder, tension lost in thought and a dull feeling of pride surface at what Kim had persisted, then again it was another sliver of pride for requesting him... but then again it would be hard to decipher if it was intentional or patronizing.
Grasping a set of "ear muffs" he placed them around his neck, folding his hands softly in-front of his chest, leaning just as gingerly against the concrete wall, glancing down the line of the booth to her target, gaze lingered back to Kim and paused there. Looking away with more thoughts of what he could have changed, if he didn't know he sure as hell could ask Kim, she'd remind him of everything he missed and everything he screwed up.

Will you please get rid of the damn attitude? She had expected some type of retort of her own attitude though whether or not one would come, she hadn’t really cared. She had attempted to spend some time with him in which she hadn’t expected to go too smoothly and that was how it was turning out. After what you have just said to me I suspected you wanted to spend some time with me, something I am not willing to give out to you after what you’ve done to this family. I know I haven’t been the perfect, loving daughter you probably want but I haven’t had what I’ve wanted either. She placed her hand on his back, giving him a bit of a push in case he stopped to argue, not wanting to repeat the last few moments though she had plenty to say. She wasn’t trying to fight but rather get it through to him though it was making her more fired up than she had been.
She listened as he cut off his sentence, taking the same actions and keeping her mouth shut, teeth grinding together slightly as she tried to keep her patience. She followed him to the end of the rows of booths, reaching the last one, glancing in. She found it pathetic which he could handle guns and danger all day but couldn’t even handle being around his blood and flesh.
Gaze followed him as he retrieved a pair of generic-looking ear muffs in which to protect one’s eardrums from the sound. She copied his actions, placing them around her neck. She wasn’t sure whether she did it to show him her devotion to the training or to mock him, though brow slightly raised. She pushed her hair behind her ears, glancing at the range once again. This would be the easiest part of her day so far.

Jaw tightened naturally with the hostility, pausing slightly to retort but her hand kept him from doing so, shaking his head softly he prodded himself to ignore it and just do as requested. [ Fine.] He said simply, no particular tone lined this single word. Turning this time to face her, [ You know that I want to spend time with you, I already told you that. It's just... never-mind, the point is I do.] He replied. He wasn't going to comment on when she spoke of herself, just looked down towards the floor, trying to keep himself occupied with this discomfort, [ I know...] was all he could manage to say, there was nothing to fight over, she was right.
Observing her quietly when his actions were mocked, or perhaps it felt as if they were with this tension, he grinned faintly, [ Never said it would be hard. Besides, reading over your memo you can do this in your sleep.] Holding his grin for a bit longer until he fell into a serious nature, [ Is your magazine full? Stupid question, just mandatory.] He added carefully, finding himself being rather careful as to what he said around her... he always found himself doing that, afraid to offend. Hand grasping at a single muff with the intention of her starting, considering the level of this task she would need no guidance, he'd rather not attempt if she were to take offense.
